wee baby possum, so very sweet made her way to my house today. I think she had a little help from an angel. See how G-d cares for His fuzzy creatures. What a wonderful Shabbat gift.

A possum? wow I've never actually had one up close to me.
*sings* be kind to your web-footed friends... for a duck may be somebody's moooother.
ok so a possum isn't a duck or web-footed...lol same difference!

She is so sweet. She clings to me with her little feet. Please pray that she will grow up happy, fat and healthy, Please pray G-d's wisdom and blessing. Possums can be a challenge to raise.

not a possum, but orphaned and injured bunnies, ratties, mice, kittens, dogs, squirrels, and taken care of lots of sick and also disabled animals of all kinds. They are all welcome here.

Thanks! I named Her Simcha because she made me so happy. I keep her in a cotton pouch around my neck with a flannel blankie in it, so she is always with me, Flopsy possum mama

ewww - I have never seen a baby possum, and perhaps they are cute since most baby animals are cute, but I have seen adult possums and they look like giant rats!
Have you had luck raising orphaned animals? I have bottle fed a kitten and it was hard work - made me appreciate mama cats. I tried to care for some baby squirrels that fell out of a tree, but they died - probably injured from the fall I guess.
That is sweet of you to take care of the animals.

"but I have seen adult possums and they look like giant rats!"
they do, they do, and they have big whiskers, but I love ratties. :) It is alot of work raising orphans and taking care of critical care and special needs, but I love them ever so. It is because of the kindness of G-d to their hearts and mine that they make it. Pray for little Simcha.
