Royal Wedding -- Orthodox or Ogredox?
February 1, 2006
Amid persistent rumours of Orthophilia at the nuptials of Prince Charles and Camilla, The Onion Dome has paid an exorbitant fee to obtain this exclusive, incontrovertible photographic proof of another, Incredibly Orthodox, royal wedding.
"What's all the fuss aboot?" the newly-wedding-crowned male was heard to say, in the burred tones of a Brit imitating a Canadian actor speaking with a Scottish accent. "Ogres have layers!" declared Sir Shregory (the Bridegroom) Petrol-Money. "And hello!-so do onions! Of course we got married under an onion dome!"
His lovely bride, Princess Rhiona of the Dominion of Far, Far Away North, agrees. "It's so irritating, having people ask over and over and over again, '"Can ogres be ORTHODOX? Can OGRES be Orthodox? CAN ogres be Orthodox?'" With a sniff H.R.H Rhiona goes on, "Well, I'm here to tell you-we had three priests serving at this wedding! You can't get any more Orthodox than that!"
"It's never been a secret," Sir Shregory shrugged. "How many times do I have to sing "I'm a Believer" before people get it?"
"Stay tuned," the princess told reporters. "We've already sold the film rights to our story!"
The couple would neither confirm nor deny that the film production's working title is "My Big Fat Green Wedding."
