My grandmother has a house close to town that i have spent the last 2 years rebuilding so she can visit occassionally from her nurseing home. This project has been going along just fine and i should be at a finishing point soon.

I have a relative that purchased one of those camper trailers and has it parked on her land because it is closer to town for attending college. It's a very nice camper trailer, 2006 model with all the extra's, all leather interior furniture and such.

We've been haveing a series of storms lately come through Austin. I was told that the trailer, the night of the storm was rocking back and forth like a boat on water. She said she was going to call somebody, but instead decided that she had best pray so she did, and a good thing at that.

After the storm went by, the 1st thing she noticed was that the tall 50 ft tree outside her door was knocked over. It layed right along next to the side of her trailer. The next thing she noticed was that the top of the tall mesquite tree was snapped off and was laying right along side of her car. Her car was parked under the tree! Not one scratch on the car or her trailer! On the other side of the trailer layed another tree about 50 ft. long.

When i went over there i noticed that the tree that was laying behind her trailer was not from the yard. It was laying across two other trees and had knocked them down. It looked kinda like those two trees caught it from falling out of the air. I climbed down the hillside and looked for the trunk. I couldn't find it anywhere along the hillside for about 150 ft. around. I found another tree snapped in half but it was an oak tree and much smaller than the one next to her trailer.

These trees close by are about 60 to 70 ft. high. I began to notice a path of snapped branches, very large branches from where this tree had to of been slung over 100 feet in the air. The path it came through was very clear when you just looked up. I pointed up in the air and showed her the path of where the tree came through snapping all the other branches and landed just a few feet from her trailer.

If it had just gone another 15 ft, with the size of that tree, it would of gone right through her trailer and possibly have killed her.

My grandmothers house made it through with some minor damage.

this scripture comes to mind :

A thousand shall fall at they side, and ten thousand at they right hand, but it shall not come nigh thee. ~Ps 91:7 :)

stone, two years ago when all those hurricanes came through Florida? My insurance carrier dropped me so I was on my knees all through hurricane season that the house wouldn't be hurt. Finally one of them ripped through my community and my gigantic oak tree in the front yard came down on the house. Believe it or not, it took out the rain gutter and downspouts but did not damage the roof. It cost a pile to remove the tree and then I had to have new sod put in, but God was good and saved my house! I have photos - I'll post some!

I would like to see some of the photo's.

I used a phone and took a few snap shots around my grandmothers but can't figure out how to get them off the phone, i've asked my sister to go by and take some pictures, not sure if she has yet or not, prolly not.

This weekend or next week sometime me and some of the guys are going to have a chainsaw get together and cut up the trees, definately gonna have to get some pics before all that stuff is removed. I'll post some of them after i take the pics.

Praise God.
Sounds like your grandmother's guardian angels were working overtime that day.

I am glad she is ok. Some tornados went through some towns just north of us last night. 3 people were killed and several injured. It is a rural area that the tornados went through, and not densely populated. Judging by the destruction they think the tornado or tornados were pretty strong.
