I got the hard copies of Bekah's 2nd birthday pictures today and when I was scanning them in I noticed just how much Ari has grown in 4 months. The first picture was taken when he was 10 days old, and the second when he was 4 months old.

Oh and Ari has gained about a pound since the picture that was taken a couple of weeks ago! He is now right about 18lbs! (More than Bekah weighed at 9 months.)

He was as tall at 4 months as she was at 6 months. If he keeps growing at his current rate, by the time he is a year he will catch up or even pass her in weight and height. She takes after the petite side of the family and he takes after his Zayde who is well over 6ft. He has some second cousins that are 7 footers that's pro basketball side of the family and then there is the NFL football player side too.
So if my kids were going to go into sports Bekah would probably be a gymnast or maybe a soccer player and he would be a basketball or football player. Too bad college and pro sports interfere with Torah observance - or I would be counting on a sports scholarships for them :D

Your children are beautiful! My son was also bigger than my daughters were at the same ages. Usually baby boys are denser (not mentally :) although when they are older, some girls may argue that they are), but physically they have more muscle mass and I think it weighs more or feels denser or something. If you pick up a baby boy and a baby girl that are the same size, the boys usually feel heavier or denser or more solid.

My daughter is solid muscle. She continually amazes us with her feats of strength and agility. Thats why I think she will be a gymnast. She is very much a tomboy like her momma - which is truely an answer to prayer. Don't know if I would be able to relate to a "girly girl". :)

I had two girls, and one was dense in body weight compared to the other so I can relate.

They are so sweet wags. It is so funny to see them in steeps like that. One day it will be hard to remember when they were that little, and you’ll be thankful for these pitchers. And the way that boy is growing it wont be long. He looks twice as tall as he was before.

You have two beautiful children - make the most of them because before you know it, they will be children no longer. My daughter is almost 32 years old with two children of her own, yet I can remember bringing her home from hosptial as if it were yesterday. G-d is so good to the children of men.
'Lo, children are an heritage of the L-rd: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.' (Psalm 127:3)

Oh believe me I am making the most of it. I think that happens more when you are an older parent - you realize how fast time flies.
I am doing my best to create a pictoral and written record of their childhoods so that both they and I will be able to remember it.
