I must ask what is a Reform SDA Christian? What do you believe? What are you guidelines when it comes to interacting with the world? Basically, I wanna know what makes you tick.

This is only my personal understanding, others may have other definitions.
For the sake of this forum, a reformed SDA is just an SDA who doesn't agree 100% with all doctrines.
I go to an SDA church, I just don't agree with some minor things. Like investigative judgment and literal reading of creation. These things don't make me want to stop going to my church, and they don't stop me from being an adventst.

I think that there are churches that call themselves "Reformed" SDA; I don't know about them.

What Dr Ben described is a progressive adventist..... Reformed SDAs came into existence during WWI when a group of adventists differed with the church regarding its stance on military involvment... you can find more here....

I seem to recall from the archives a recommendation to call this forum Progressive rather than Reformed. After what Stormy just said, does anyone know why the moderators did not change it?

I thought that might be the case. Well progressive is a more appropriate term for myself, was just a bit confused in this forum.

After what Stormy just said, does anyone know why the moderators did not change it?I guess the powers that be decided that they would not honor the request.... I sent some info to one of the mods regarding the differences and why this should be renamed progressive vs reformed, however nothing ever came of it...

I also sent a message to the forum contact address with information and links from several Adventist Today articles describing Progressive SDA's. though I have not recieved any reply and certainly nothing has changed maybe the way to address this since they won't pay attention to what SDA's actually define as Progressive SDA's is to ask the moderators to document where they arrive with the term Reformed SDA's. Do they have something from the SDA denominations publications or parachurch publications which present a definition of Reformed SDA's.

It is one thing to be outside the SDA church and try to describe the SDA church but when they are documented to be in error and they don't even bother to change they should have a very good reason.

So let's hear the reason. The moderators are out there because I had a post removed for some reason, don't have any idea why other then a moderator who's comprehension is not too good.
