so I have a few things to ask and need advice on.

Alcohol - is there anything wrong with having one bottle of alcoholic substance every once in awhile?

Tattoos - Is it wrong to get tattoos upon your skin and body? I had really thought about getting a tattoo of Jesus, or the Cross, or both. But now, I decided not to but I'm just curious.

Hello to you and God Bless..
The bible says to "Not be drunk with wine"
"Strong drink makes a man desire strange women"

It has been medically proven that 1 glass of wine a day is good for your liver.. (I am not promoting alchohol)
No one kick me out of here...:prayer:
I think that anytime you do something that alters the mind, it is not good. I think you expose yourself and make yourself very vulnerable to the "spirit world"
My husband will fix a nice steak and he always likes to have a glass of wine with it..I do not feel bad about having a glass of wine with my dinner. I am not doing it to get drunk. Now beer, that would do me no good. Two sips of that and I would be drunker than a skunk! I don't think we should drink beer if it is going to be for the purpose of getting drunk.

I do not have any tattoos. My brother is covered in them. I think it looks cool but I would feel kinda funny having one. I know the old testament says to not tattoo your bodies, but then in the new testament it says we are not bound by law. I personally will never have a tattoo.

God Bless You..

In our particular case we completely abstain from alcohol but that is our choice not a biblical mandate. Our reasoning is my family is lost and they drink a lot sometimes. We're trying to make the picture of our life starkly different from the picture of their life so they are sure to see the difference. It initiates conversations too. When your lost friends notice you don't drink they'll ask why. When you say, because Jesus is Lord of my life and because of that I believe it is a sin to be drunk. If I drink I might be tempted to drink too much. I care to much about my relationship with my Lord for that. Right there, you have shown how God can change you. They'll take notice and 9 times out of ten it's not ridicule but respect you'll get in response.
As far as the tatooing is concerned, I don't think it's an issue unless it causes you to sin. Does that make any sense at all?

Acts 15:28-29 (tatoos didn't make the forbidden list)

No and no

Watch out for

Drunkeness
and
Pride (How many guys with a tatoo on their arms strangely wear tank tops even in winter?)

I don't believe drinking a sin. Jesus drank! And I don't mean getting drunk. Those are two different things.

Tattoos I believe are fine. I'll be getting a cross soon!

No.
No.
I like a glass of white ever now and then.
Tatoos aren't my scene, but really, who cares?
Having said that some will frown about tattoos so be careful about that one.

I say "yes" there is something wrong with it. (No, I don't go around looking for fights to pick; I guess I'm just the odd one out all the time.)

I really must get a BIble on this computer! My reasons:
(Sorry if this is paraphrasing)
Proverbs 23 - Who has woe? He that tarries at wine. Look not on the wine when it is red (fermented?)

"Be not conformed to this world"
"Your body is the temple"
"What communion can light have with darknes"
"Abstain from the very appearance of evil"
deacons/leaders not given to wine
don't cause offense to your brother
"above reproach"

The more we look like the world, the harder it is to win them.

What is the end of that path; what door are you opening?
