Hi, this is the first time I have heard of the restoration movement. I was just curious about it. I am new to the forums so I am sorry if I am not supposed to post here. I will stop if I’m not supposed to.

Anyway what caught my eye was the no creed but Christ. I have been a Christian for five years but I have never chosen any kind of label for myself. I just want to follow the teachings of the Christ as closely as possible. To be his disciple. In my profile I chose Pentecostal because I believe in the gifts of the spirit, however I don't agree with everything that is "Pentecostalism"

I think the part about no label except Christian is funny though because the term Christen originated as a derogatory term for the followers of Christ. I think they originally just said they were part of "the way" Ill have to check act again.

I guess I’m rambling sorry. My point is, isn’t standing in one place saying hey were not choosing a label, labeling yourself? Sort of how non-denominational is a denomination.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful I'm just curious.

Hi!

Acts 11:26
Acts 26:28
1 Peter 4:16
None of these are used as put-downs...

and unfortunately "The Way" has been secondered by a rather dubious group. Google "The Way International" to see what I mean. So if we started calling ourselves "The Way" we would be in a world of trouble.

We call ourselves Christians. It's sub-labeling that's a problem. If a Buddhist asks you "What religion are you" and you don't answer "Christian" - there's a problem.
