I'm still here, but Orthodox now

I haven't posted in several months, for various reasons. But I just wanted to say quickly that I was blessed by uniting with the body of Christ on Saturday. Water was cold, chrism stung my eye, but the experience of joining the church was very deep and incredibly moving. I feel God has given me power -- against Satan, the world and the flesh -- like I never had before. What's more, my older son, who has been totally apart from God for a long time and has really not cared for Orthodoxy, suddenly told myself and several others at my parish that he is considering joining the church! :clap:

I must also say that my parish family is wonderful, especially my Godparents (Eusebius, you know who I'm talking about!) my priest, Father John and deacon, Father Timothy.

Thank you and praise you, Most Holy Trinity, for answering my cry and setting my feet on the right path. You are truly awesome.

Thanks very much to everyone who has posted here (or may)! I haven't posted on CF since November, but I've been lurking occasionally.

Not only is a fellow member of TAW my godfather, but I was baptized & chrismated with another TAW-er, "OrthoTauf", who is a long-time buddy of mine. We met in the Mennonite church fifteen years ago and have been close friends ever since.

And for "Pravoslavnii", I am American, although I love English pop music from the 1960's!
