Hey Guys,

Well yesterday my sister finally agreed to come to Church with me. We were both raised in the EOC and Baptist Churches, but she hasn't been to ANY Church on a regular basis in years. :sigh:

She seemed rather unimpressed by the whole thing and didn't want to stay for coffee hour or meet anyone, but nevertheless, I was still happy she went.

Who knows, maybe this is one step in her journey back to the Church. :)

In XC,

Maureen

That is so great, Maureen.

My prayers for her.

She might have been struggling inside and wasn't up to talking.

We had a young woman who came into our hall after church, and that was a big mistake.
The evangelizal zeal of a few new converts scared her away.

She said she wasn't feeling well yesterday and wanted to rest before we went to my Mom's for dinner.

The past two years have been really rough on her, and she's been angry at God. I don't think she's ready to come back to the Church just yet, but yesterday was an encouraging step.

Next week we'll go to my father's parish for Pascha.

Although she's been a C&E Christian the past 6 or 7 years, she hasn't really done anything beyond that. She technically considers herself Orthodox, and wears an Orthodox cross, but she isn't what you'd call "practicing."

My priest includes her name in every service, so I know that had something to do with yesterday's attendance, whether she knows it or not. ;)
