The words in the DL "...you, and all Orthodox Christians...." FINALLY apply to me!!
I have had my first Orthodox communion!!, and am also the proud owner of a partially burned white candle-with gold designs (three bar cross, etc.) , a wedge of the bread, an Icon of St. Thomas (my "name saint"), and an Orthodox cross.
I swear I could feel warmth radiatiing through me, from all the places where the chrism was applied.

Next Saturday for my wife and I (though she is technically returning to the Church after being cradle, her family are Latvian immigrants but she was then raised by her mother after her parents split up).
I had my first confession Friday after PSL and sadly had to confess again right away today  .
But Father is already calling me Peter. I asked him if it was right for him to be calling me Peter yet and he just did his mysterious crinkle-the-eyes smile thing and said "Oh...Why not?"...I swear I have a tall Scottish Yoda for a spiritual father! "Repent you must, with tears and prayer, yes yes. Come unto Christ, you will." :D
