Five of us today, after recently going from being catechumens to "preparing for illumination," were baptized, chrismated, and first communed today.

(Afterward we all went out to eat and were told the fast from dairy now applies to us.)

Congratulations Brother!

John

PS: Isn't Forgivensinner supposed to be brought into the Church soon? Anyone know?
(I had always thought he was officially Orthodox but then I read some threads here and there that seemed to allude to his being a chatecumen.)

Many years!!! I haven't been able to sleep for two nights for all the excitement. As father told our little group of 3, who were Chrismated today, this isn't the end but the beginning. Isn't it great to be home!

Our daughter congregation, about an hour out into the country, had 10 catechumens. That's about 20-25% of those in attendance!
