*just a tip, when you transparify something, make sure the area you are making transparent is a different colour than the colours in your drawing, otherwise parts of the drawing will show up transparent*

not sure what you mean...i am pretty new at this...the backgrounds were the plain white white when i too them to irfanview to transparify...:scratch: should i change the background colors before i do it, is that what you mean? thanks for any tips you have :hug:

yes you would select a different colour for the background area, because for example the hair and capris had plain white in them also and showed up as transparent, I hope that makes sense...though you're doing a great job for starting out ;)

I think you're using Paint, right? If you item has white areas and you use a white background, some portions of the item may be made transparent when you transparify, if your border color is white. The white capris had unintended transparent areas.

Whatever background color you choose, just be sure that it's different from the colors of your item if you plan to transparify.

Hope this makes it a little clearer!

thanks so much vaneeza and raven, i understand now...i was thinking the background white was a different white then the whites in the items and that it would not do that ... gotcha...thanks a bunch :thumbsup:
