1 dead & More than a dozen churgoers injured in simultaneous attacks
CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- One person is dead and more than a dozen others wounded in attacks on worshipers today at three Coptic Christian churches in Egypt.
The simultaneous assaults in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria were carried out during Friday Mass by knife-wielding assailants.
Police have set up checkpoints but the attackers got away.
At least two of 17 people hurt are in serious condition.
Hundreds of Christians have gathered outside the churches and some fighting is reported between them and Muslims.
The attacks came on what is Good Friday to most of the world's Christians. Egypt's Coptic Christians and other followers of the Greek Orthodox church celebrate the holiday a week later.

We who are not in Muslim majority countries need to remember and keep in our prayers our fellow Orthodox brethren who have to go through this perecution. May our Lord and Savior grant them the strength to stand bold in the face of the enemy.

One was killed- memory eternal.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Glory to thee, our God, glory to thee.
O heavenly King, O Comforter, the Spirit of truth, who art in all places and fillest all things; Treasury of good things and Giver of life: Come and dwell in us and cleanse us from every stain, and save our souls, O gracious Lord.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal : have mercy on us.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal : have mercy on us.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal : have mercy on us.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit : now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
All-holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, cleanse us from our sins. Master, pardon our iniquities. Holy God, visit and heal our infirmities for thy Name’s sake.
Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit : now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
(For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: now and ever, and unto ages of ages.)
Amen.
Memory eternal, dear brother or sister

USA rush to their aid? I have mixed feelings.
Let's hope that the USA doesn't bomb the Christian monasteries and graveyards like they did in Kosvo. What is happening in Bosnia and Serbia anyway?

If memory serves me correctly they started their attacks on Pascha. I remember because my Mother turned the radio on when we came home from church (Agape service on Pascha sunday) and she was so upset that they were attacking on Pascha. Or maybe I am remembering something else ?
Back tp the OP I hope these terrorists don't try to attack Christians on Pascha :(

Well I think they thought it was gonna hit military targets. And the writing on the bombs was just a individual flight crew thing. After he say the aftermath I can only imagine the reaction

Well... Don't hold your breath for US-help of Orthodox Christians. On the contrary, US has outfitted Egypte with M1 Abram tanks... How solidair of the US don't you think.. I won't even get into the Balkan-debacle.
I don't know what I would do if I was a serb serving a NATO-army in Serbia. Probably defect as soon as I would get the chance.
