"What Hurts The Most"
I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house
That don’t bother me
I can take a few tears now and then and just let them out
I’m not afraid to cry every once in a while
Even though going on with you gone still upsets me
There are days every now and again I pretend I’m ok
But that’s not what gets me
What hurts the most
Was being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was tryin’ to do
It’s hard to deal with the pain of losing you everywhere I go
But I’m doin’ It
It’s hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I’m alone
Still Harder
Getting up, getting dressed, livin’ with this regret
But I know if I could do it over
I would trade give away all the words that I saved in my heart
That I left unspoken
What hurts the most
Is being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do
What hurts the most
Is being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do
Not seeing that loving you
That’s what I was trying to do

I bet I could be a heretic too. So if the church is speaking with one voice, I imagine it's because we're not letting the "heretics" speak, right? Perhaps their mouths are ducttaped shut before the one voice speaking begins.

They cartainly can.
William Booth, our founder. said that "Some of my best men are women"
We have women in a great many senior posotions of leadership in the Army. Some of the best officers I have ever known are women.
And the Army has had two female generals (the General is the worldwide leader of the Salvation Army)

We've always had women leaders, and they are equal in every way to the men.

So what does it mean to be "getting back in uniform"? At least I believe that is what you referrd to once.
OK.
Well, the Salvation Army is a church, like any other denomination.
Anyone is welcome to come along and worship at the Salvation Army, in the same way that I would be welcomed at an Anglican church.
However, in the Army, a person can choose to align themselves fully with the beliefs and principles of the Army, and become a 'soldier'.
I suppose that it is similer to being confirmed in the Anglican church.
We are required to sign a document called 'The Articles of War'
This link gives a bit more informatin about the uniform

The link below is a copy of the Articles of war which Salvationists sign if they wish to become a uniformed soldier.

However, a person does not need to wear the uniform to worship with the Salvation Army.
Hope that helps

The link below is a copy of the Articles of war which Salvationists sign if they wish to become a uniformed soldier.

However, a person does not need to wear the uniform to worship with the Salvation Army.
Hope that helps

Hey folks, I forgot that I wanted to finish off the pub tonight. I gotta get to bed, so I'll leave you with a joke:
A state trooper sees a vehicle on the interstate doing 33 miles an hour and pulls the car to make sure everything is all right. When he approaches the driver he discovers that it is a nun.
"Excuse me, sister. But are you alright ?" He asked.
She replies, "Oh, yes officer. We're just fine. Was I doing something wrong?"
The officer says, "Well sister, you were traveling way under the speed limit and I was concerned that you might be having car trouble or something."
"But officer", the nun interrupts, "I saw a sign there about a mile back that said 33, and I know I wasn't going any faster than that."
Chuckling, the trooper says, "Sister, that was a state highway route marker, this is State Route 33, not the speed limit. The speed limit signs have a MPH at the bottom."
"Oh, now don't I feel foolish!", replied the nun turning red.
"That's ok, but please try to be more careful, I would hate to see you get hurt", finished the officer. Then as he turns to say good-bye to the nuns in the back seat, he notices for the first time that they are trembling violently and quite pale.
"Sister, what is wrong with your friends? Can I escort you to a hospital ?"
"Oh, no, they're all right. We just turned off of Route 150."
