Have you been involved in setting up or participating in a youth Rallie? I think I went to only one or two. I know I went to a lock-in at a YMCA once.
So, what do you think of Youth Rallies? Do the kids take anything home from the experience?

I went to what seems like dozens back in The Day, when I was a teenager. Ambassador's Rally at Ozark Christian College, Illinois Christian Teen Convention, CIY, lock-ins at the Y.... the list goes on.

Absolutely teens take something home from the experience. I became a Christian at Ambassador's Rally. Some of the best memories of my life are from all those teen events. *Sniff*

Yeah, my teen years would have been unbearable without the youth group at my church.

Hmm. I liked seeing teens, but I guess I was too shy to really enjoy them. We had a nice speaker at one I went to. I was freinds with his daughter. They moved away now. I guess I did not get much out of youth rallies. Glad others did!

I was always encouraged by my attendence of youth rallies as a teen. I remember "Church of Christ Youth Day" at Opryland was always fun. They are a great alternative to secular activities which, while fun, tend to be spiritually bankrupt.

I love youth rallies but don't have the opportunity to go to many. I think that youth rallies that REALLY focus on spiritual things are the ones that help me get closer to God. The rallies that are meant only to entertain don't do much, except give me some fun (which isn't really bad, I guess) Nothing's wrong with having fun, but youth rallies should focus on more serious things than they do some time. :)
