View Full Version : Terror in Israel

So how do you feel about the suicide bombings in Israel?

This is a pretty broad topic but I figured it would be nice to specifically hash out all of our opinions, biblical insights, and feelings about what's going on in The Holy Land.

I'll go first, I guess!

I feel that the violence that is being perpetrated on God's Chosen (the Jewish People) is horrendous.  I have many friends in Israel and my mind wonders every day if they were the ones that were on the bus, in the marketplace at the cafe...  I pray daily for the Peace of Jerusalem.  We need to support our Jewish brothers and sisters in Israel.

Ok, now it's your turn!

As we have pointed out before, an estimated 90% of terror events in Israel are averted. Frequently, we hear about the large ones that have been miraculously averted through the Lord’s hand. Sadly, there are occasional homicide bombings were there has been a large loss of life and injuries. Ironically, they have happened three times this year on the same day or within twenty-four hours of Shimon Peres, former foreign Minister of Israel, declaring Israel’s favor of a Palestinian state.

On May 19 Peres called for an accelerated Palestinian state. On September 18 he told the UN that his nation is in favor of a Palestinian state and that terror prevented the end of occupation. On October 21 he told the European Union Foreign Ministers that Israel formally accepted U.S. President George Bush's vision of the Middle East, as presented in Bush’s June 24 speech, which called for two countries for two peoples.

Shimon Peres is no longer in the Israeli government.

On Thursday, Israel’s Prime Minister Ariel Sharon stated that he considers a Palestinian state an established fact.

"I want to arrive at an arrangement with the Palestinians, because that will be the only solution to Israel's ailing economy," Sharon said.

"When you look, you see that all the government structures already exist," Sharon said in an interview on Channel 2.

"The Palestinians have ministers, they have a cabinet, and they have a president. They also have 104 states acknowledging their right to statehood, even before they declare it.

"A diplomatic agreement that brings peace is the real answer to the economic situation."

Within 24 hours of Sharon’s statement a tragic shooting takes place in Hebron, with at least 12 people killed and 20 injured. The pattern continues: an Israeli official makes a public statement in favor of a Palestinian state, then a major loss of life and multiple injuries, which is always followed by retaliation.

Does the Lord lift His protection when Peres (three times) and Sharon (once) make these statements? It certainly appears so. The probability of these major events happening on the same day or within twenty-four hours are astronomical; these aren’t coincidences. The God of Israel protects His nation and His people, but when Israel’s leaders attempt to parcel or trade her land, He lifts His hand of protection for the moment, which also disrupts the peace process.

Sharon’s most recent statement—that an arrangement with the Palestinians is the only solution to Israel’s ailing economy—is certainly troubling.

I think it is crucial to have Benjamin Netanyahu as Minister of Defense. Maybe now they will quit negotiating with terrorists and take back the land that rightfully belongs to them.

Thanks for the article!

Hi p4i ,

As much as my Muslim bros and sisters will hate me for saying this, I think Netanyahu might do something good for this issue. He is described as a harsh man who takes no nothing from anyone. I understand all the motives and reasons for these terrorists and the reasons why they hate Israelis, I just wish innocent people werent targeted. Although I know there is corruption in both sides, the Palis and Isris, I know the Lord will clean out the bad people and leave the path clearly open for the Jews to return to their land. Muslim Arabs will one day see at the end that Jews belong to that land, unfortunatly they will learn the hard way. :(

May the Lord protect our Jewish brothers n sisters against terror.

God bless

We need to pray that Bibi will not negotiate the land away.

Arab4Christ,
I am so blessed that you have a knowledge of God's Word as it pertains to all of us. Please tell me, if you don't mind, how did you come to the Lord? I have been wondering because you are not like most arabs I have spoken with when it comes to the Jewish nation Israel.

God bless you!

Thank you for asking :) My father is a muslim arab and mother christian american. I think I was reborn when I was about 12 or so but started seeking the Lord seriously when I was about 15. Before this I was just a believer in God, not christian nor muslim. But I know the Lord called me to him and btwn you and I, one day Muslims will see the truth. Many are starting to but they are scared to convert. One day we will shake up the world and everyone will hear his call- and I cant wait

God bless

What an awesome testimony!  God has truly chosen you to be a beacon of light to others who fear the truth.  We are so glad to have you on this MB!  I look forward to listening to your point of view on Biblical issues as well as hearing more about what God is doing through you.

God bless you, brother!
