Sounds like so much FUN!!
I have Paint and know how to use it, but I don't know how to put the finished product up as my CF character. Can anyone instruct, please?

Hmm. Nope, we can't do that. However if you design items for CF Characters, you can suggest them in a request thread, and they might be added to the armory that way.

Oh my, I think I created a revolution!! :P
You can make clothes and stick them on a CF character, but yeah, you can't actually make that your character - all clothes and items on here have to be requested, then approved and made by the armoury staff on here. But you can still have fun experimenting with making clothes for your character. If there are any you really like, you can request them. :)

Yup, or as your avatar or little camera picture.

You can draw them from scratch or you can find clothes that are on the internet or something and cut around them, shrink them and place them over the CF character's body, then trim them or adjust them to make them fit. :)

Um, I don't draw them so I can't help you out there, you need a pretty good computer program to do that. If you go to buy a CF character, don't buy it, but you can right-click on the character and select "Save as..." then save it to your computer. Save it as "base body" or something and when you copy and paste an outfit onto the body, save that by going "Save as.." then saving it. That way you will always have the base body there to use, to put things on.
Does that make sense? :)

That's what I was trying to figure out. I can create the character in Paint, but apparently we can't then put in in *as a CF character.* However, we could put it in as part of our siggy or something. I think.

I try to make armor, but don't know how to even shrink the stuff. I have paint and no other problems :(

Yeah, you can't actually make them appear as your official CF character. Every bit of clothing etc has to be requested to the armoury team, they have to approve it, make it and put it in the armoury for you to buy.
If we could all just make our own clothes and put them on our characters, it would be chaos, and the blessings system would be a moot point. :P

Basic instructions: (please forgive me; I'm not much of a teacher.)
You can go to character items, open up the body base menu, then right-click to copy it. Go to Paint and paste the image. Save the file as something like "CF character body base" in your documents folder.
Then when you have clothing to copy and paste, you can put it on the body base much like the old-fashioned paper dolls.
What I do is have two copies of Paint going, one with the body base and one with the clothing. The windows are sized to half a screen, side by side.
To shrink the clothing, I would use the Select tool to highlight it. Then I choose Image, Stretch/Skew, and enter negative numbers into the Horizontal and Vertical windows until I've got it shrunk down to the right size. How much shrinkage it needs will depend on the original size of the image. I have my body base file set up so that the image measures 80 pixels wide and 180 pixels high, so for me this is a pretty good gague of what size an artcle of clothing might need to be.
To put the clothing on the body base, I hit Edit, Select All, Copy from the copy of Paint that has the clothing in it. Then I click on the title bar of the other copy, the one that has the body base in it, and hit Edit, Paste. The clothing will then appear over the body. If it's not in the right position, as long as I haven't clicked on anything, I can move the mouse to drag it.
If I would then like to submit the clothing for approval from the Armory Team, I might carefully zoom in and erase whatever is not part of the clothing. Zooming to 800%, then showing grid and thumbnail, works best for me. This can help me get into the individual pixel and edit. Then after I've erased all of the body that surrounds the clothing, I would save the file separately as "pink ballgown" or whatever I'm submitting. Now I've got clothing tailored to fit CF characters.
Clear as mud? I hope not. Maybe somebody else can come up with some good tips and tricks too.
