I'm just curious, how do you know when God is speaking to you? What do you do when you are seeking His guidance and it doesn't seem like He's giving it (like you have 24 hours to decide if you want to take a new job)?
God bless you!

I believe that when God is talking to you, you can't stop thinking about the subject. Like me, I have been thinking on going into the ministry for a long time now and I know that God is leading me to it. The reason why I know is because I can't stop thinking about. I believe that when He is guiding you, He is also carrying you. He is carrying you through a difficult time. He might not lead you to the answer right away, but whatever choice you make, He has purpose for you.

God most often speaks to us in that still small voice in our hearts. I dont always know at the time that God has indeed spoken to me....most often when making a big descion I go with what seems right, what seems the most pleasing to God and with the descion I have the greatest peace in and time after time I can look back and see that it was indeed God's guidance and voice I had heard.
I have to admit I really stuggle knowing I do hear God's voice. but we as His sheep do hear and know His voice and He does speak to us and guide us.

Seek a multitude of counselors. Then weight the pros and cons of the job. Why do yo want the job? Will it take away from your family or church life? Is it something you really desire to do? Then pray about these things.
If the job is for you, the God will open the door for you. If the job is not for you, God will close the door. But He'll can open another in it's place.
I was going to go in one direction in the job market that required getting some education for a qualification. I was willing to spend a good deal of money to get this qualification. But my Mom said she had a disturbing dream about me which she told me that I should wait on the Lord. Now you have to understand, my Mom NEVER interferes with my affairs (which I am thankful, since I am married). However, she was praying for my job situation and really felt strong that I was somehow making a mistake.
So I didn't pursue that qualification anymore, although I thought I should because I was desperate. Two weeks later, I found the best job I could have imagined. God works through others and I praise God that He led me the right way!

If it agrees with the Holy Bible, you will never go far astray.
God is bigger that any partial douting choices that we may feel forced that we need to take.
We can only go by the light we have,so don't sweat it,just trust Him and his pure words and God will provide as he is prone to do.

God speaks through his Word and his people to confirm it many times. We don't always listen when he is speaking. Praying and asking God to give you wisdom & discernment through his word and also to send Godly mentors into your life to help you.
