Just thought I'd post this before the craziness of tomorrow starts...

I won't be here because my dad (step dad) passed away last night after a year and a half long battle with lung cancer. He is in heaven, of that I'm certain, and his suffering is now over. :amen: Mom seems to be doing well, she was praying for him to go home quickly once his health started to go down hill. If you all could pray for us to have a safe trip and for our family I would appreciate it.

It is sad and joyful at the same time to know that your dad was a believer and it will give you hope that you will be seeing him again. And especially to know that he will not suffer anymore illness! I do pray that God will watch over you and your extended family at this time. :)

What a wonderful comfort God gave us through Jesus, to know that you'll see your Dad again. Although immensley painful to loose someone so close, what a joy to know he no longer suffers and you'll see him again.

Well, we're home now. The funeral was very nice, no one cried hardly because we all know where he is and that he isn't suffering anymore.

The saddest part of the whole day was when Mom called my grandma (where hubby and I stayed) to tell us his dog had just gotten hit by a car. :sigh: My husband and I rushed over and he buried her for Mom, it was terrible! Lady was about four months old and Dad loved her soo much. I told Mom he was probably up there playing fetch with her as we spoke.

Alright, I'm starting to cry again so I'm gonna go let others know I've returned.
