A man opened fire at a church service Sunday, killing an 18-year-old woman and wounding her child before shooting another man outside, according to police and broadcast reports.

Second Deputy Police Chief James Tate confirmed that three people were shot, one fatally, at Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church, about 11 a.m.

The child did not have life-threatening injuries, WWJ-AM reported. The third victim, who was shot when trying to protect his wife from a carjacking attempt by the shooter, was in critical condition, the station said.
Church members helped police identify a suspect, Tate said. Officers were looking for Kevin Lorenzo Collins, 24, who is considered armed and dangerous.

The shooting was the result of a domestic dispute, Tate said.

Please keep this church, especially the children who witnessed the killing, in your prayers.

Isn't that just awful
Church is supposed to be a place of worship and fellowshipping
As well as a place for peace and non-violence!

It is awful of the things that are happening to churches these days. The church arsons in Alabama and now this. Can you pray this prayer wherever you are. Pray this:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for allowing us as believers in you to be able to worship with one another in the house that you have deemed Your House. I pray dear Lord that you be with churches all over this world. Protect them with the protective hands that only you have. I pray for the families that are affected by these incidents. Provide comfort and guidance that only you can. Dear Lord I pray that the people responsible for these incidents will be brought to justice very soon. Be with us. Guide and protect us. I pray this in your most precious and holiest of names Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen

It used to be that churches were recognized to be places of refuge and no one would go there to terrorize or commit violence. :(
