I am thinking of purchasing the Oxford Annotated
Bible with apo. I am wondering if any of you have used this Bible and just what your thoughts on it might. Thank you so much for your time on this.

I think it is an outstanding Bible and commentary. I have used it for several years in both personal and seminary study. You will probably want to get the one that uses the RSV in stead of the NRSV since the former is preferred by the Orthodox.

I know a priest with a very battered and filled-with-bookmarks copy, so it can't be all bad. There is no one perfect and ideal translation or Bible, but there are better and worse ones and this is one of the better. Still, the best Bible for you is the one you'll actually read. But I recommend it, the next time I buy a Bible I'm getting one.

Thank you both for your answers. I like to gather opinions like this before I make the decision from people who have hands on knowledge. I think that I am going to buy the Bible.

I have the Oxford RSV for use at school (theology studies at a public university). I've found the notes to be reasonable, and it's been very helpful in my studies.

I've only heard good things about it for the most part.
