Anyone interested in forming a little book club here at B/A?

Maybe read some light books together and discuss them?

Any ideas for books to read together?

An e-book would be wonderful, but inexpensive paperbacks would be good, too.

Would there be both fiction and non-fiction books my friend?
I think we ought to do book and miss them up together.

Yep, I think it's good to do both.

I think it's a good idea.

A couple of non-fiction suggestions dealing with church growth and the emerging 21st century church are from Eddie Hammet, a staff member with the North Carolina Baptist State Convention. Their titles are Making the Church Work: Converting the Church for the 21st Century and
The Gathered and Scattered Church: Equipping Believers for the 21st Century.

I led our pastor and deacons through Making the Church Work a couple of years ago, and it is certainly challenging and thought-provoking. I also found them online as ebooks at nextsunday.com.

Their links are:

and

Maybe we could start with something lighter and work our way up to the heavier stuff.

Here's a link for a book we might consider:

Both of those books look great and I would love to be part of it. I think you should decide Lambslove, seeing as this is your idea.

John Piper is another very good non-fiction author to consider.
Also, I think it would be worth our while to find some baptist non-fiction as well.
