Actually, lately she has been putting a couple drops of holy water into a glass of water and drinking it every night before bed.

Something wierd did happen today and I don't know if I should take it as some kind of omen or just a freak coincidence. I manage a carwash and people often leave trash sitting on the ground by the vacuums. Well, I wasn't surprised to see a trashbag sitting on one of them today around lunch but when I went to take it to the dumpster, it was full of baby magazines (American Baby, Parents, Baby Talk) and even had a couple of "helpful tips" kinds of books. No trash or anything, just the mags and books.

It's going to be an interesting time. I was talking to her on the phone earlier and I sent her an IM with a link to the lyrics for that old Paul Anka song, Having My Baby. She got the message and started crying so I start saying, "Are you cwying? *sniff sniff sob*" Then she starts giggle/crying and telling me she loves me.

Gonna be an interesting time indeed. lol

LOL, no kidding!

weird emotions, weird cravings or repulsions, changing body & habits...it's like a crazy science experiment!

And this really was my constant response:
"Well, this is interesting"

Have you picked some books so that you can read to your little one(s)?

We used the Dr. Seuss books. And they were my son's favorite.

Babes in the womb can hear - muffled sounds nevertheless - but they can recognize the mother's and the father's voice after they are born, especially if the parents read and talk to them before they are born.

I've been thinking about trying to learn to chant and practice by chanting psalms to the little one but it's not practical for me to go to the lessons at Church. Maybe I can find a place online that has the Psalter chanted and just practice with that. :)

Just practice the Resurrectional Troparia that we use each Sunday. I'm sure that your little one will be chanting along with you shortly. :D

One of our priest's daughters could chant all the 8 Resurrectional Troparia by the age of 3.

I was reading a neat article about how after babies are born they seem to show preference for stories that were read to them while still in the womb! And, the study had used Dr. Suess!

But I was thinking that also shows how regular prayers will work too!

However, the article did caution against overstimulating a fetus, that it could lead to strange adaptive behaviors after birth. Well here, Ill just share the link...

I ran into an old friend at the supermarket a little while ago and he was telling us about his grandchildren. He said he was talking to his son and told his son, "We just raised you so we could have grandchildren."
