I mentioned this in the fellowship thread, but wanted to share with you all...today I spoke with my parish priests about being received into the Episcopal Church.
As I embark on this period of intense study and prayer, please keep me and my family in your prayers.
My daughter and I are thrilled to have found a loving parish home.

Thanks so much. We have been fortunate to be very warmly welcomed...and find the liturgy to be lovely, the preaching inspirational and the message joyful.

Welcome, welcome indeed!
The Anglican church has been my spiritual home since the time I accepted the truth of Christ. The more I come to experience its variety, depth and breadth, the more convinced I am that this is, within the heritage of the English speaking peoples at least if not more generally, the most faithful representation of the Church that Christ established.
I hope you find the joy in it that I find -- for as an experienced Anglican, I can assure you that you will from time to time find frustration and annoyance in it as well! May the joy be the overriding experience for you as it is for me.

Thankyou so much. Actually, one of the things I find compelling about the Church is its diversity. There is room for growth, questioning and differences of opinion while maintaining community...a challenge and a blessing both! Here is the place where one can experience and embrace the best of catholic and protestant tradition and respect that, while the person in the next pew might have a little different perspective than you, you are nevertheless brethren in Christ.
