I was priveleged to hear her speak 2 times at the Washington Cathedral many years ago. She was one of many gifts God used to lead me on my journey to the Episcopal church.

Thanks for posting this. SHe sounds like a real inspiration, I admire her advocacy for children especially. And how interesting that she became a priest in the later part of her life and inspired so many, including you.

I was going to give you a hard time about this, but then I made a mistake in removing one of the duplicate threads:doh: , and left a redirect link in place (which no-one should be able to follow, but it messes up the board :sigh: So I won't shout "Quick, stop her, before she posts again!" 'cause I'm just too embarrassed by my own oops. Someone might shout "quick, stop her, before she moderates again".

Pre site-revamp, you couldn't delete your own posts; you had to send me a Private Message to delete it for you.

Now, click the edit button, and "Delete" is one of the edit options. But I don't know whether you can delete your own post if it's the start of a thread that has other posts in it. In theory, I should be able to merge the two active threads so that all the posts show up in one thread, but that doesn't seem to be working yet.

Sounds like she was a real inspiration to others. She died too young, only 66.
