Hello all,
My parish is hoping to begin soon the Tridentine Mass in English. At this time I'm editing it a tad so we may do it without too much confusion. (Nothing big, not changing any prayers -- removing those specified for High Masses only, keeping the asperges and all, ect..). Anyway, I've heard several Anglo-Catholic Churches use something similar called the "Anglican Missal", is this also the Tridentine Mass in English?
Furthermore, would anyone happen to have any resources that could help me in this task? (Procession before or along with asperges? ) Our priest isn't exactly used to these kinds of things.

Get a copy of the Anglican Service Book. That is the book many Anglo-Catholic parishes use. It is the Tridentine rite of the Holy Mass in Elizabethan English.
Further, you could acquire a copy of the Book of Divine Worship, the authorized Roman version of the BCP that includes a modified Rite I traditional Anglican Mass similar to the Tridentine. It is absolutely amazing.
It's also interesting to note how orthodox Rome sees the majority of the 1979 BCP.

Hey Tom! Thanks... I have managed to work some things out, and feel that I can be back here now. I have managed to find a greater peace with certain things than I had before.
That is not to say, however, that there won't be changed in the future. That is all up to God, however. :)

Saint Augustine's Prayer Book also has the Mass in it and I have known of a few parishes that use that book as their prayer book. Also, it is a fairly cheap book to acquire.

That does sound lovely...the Tridentine Mass is one of the most beautiful liturgies...and to have it in English sounds very cool indeed.
I must admit to being a fan of bells, incense and chanting. I have not seen a full-on Anglican high mass...it's on my list of things to see someday.

Wiffey, you just scored yourself some valuable points from some people here! ;)
I haven't actually ever experienced a Tridentine Mass. I'm willing to try almost anything, though, if it is considered worship in spirit and in truth.
(The word 'tridentine' sounds like some kind of toothpaste or chewing gum. :sorry: )

Tridentine = Coming from (the Council of) Trent.
God bless Trent.

Well, our parish has slowly moved High Church since late spring. Our priest still calls us broad, but Weekly Rosary, Tridentine Mass, us acolytes receiving on the tongue, icons, statues, lifting the Chasuble during Consecration, and Sanctus Bells are starting to change that.

Anyway, I want to look into St. Augustine's Prayerbook, but when searching online found copies hard to locate. Anglican Missal and Anglo-Catholic Devotionals are also hard to find. It may be easier for me just to use the online translation of the Tridentine Mass I found, but having only attended one Tridentine Mass (which was in Latin) I'm fairly uneducated as when to do what, ect... hoping some people familiar with the Mass will answer.

I recommend this form:

If you ask specific questions about the liturgy, I would be glad to help.
