Well I would like to thank Aria for bringing a few posts to my attention, which made me rethink the nature of time spent here. I guess I'll stay around for a while. Besides, the little green jewels are just so cool.
To the mods, sorry for getting your hopes up. :P

Looks Like we'll have to arm you. What is your preferred weapon, incense hand granades, super soakers, or top secret Orthoweapon #1 ;)

do you have any good weapons for lowly inquirers like myself :D

Great, OTW! Maybe if we sprinkle the mods with one of Michael's super soakers they'd change?

We are TAW. You will disable your firewall and surrender your PC to us. Your computer time will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

I use Linux and Mozilla.

So I don't have to worry about those Microsoft tracker beams. :D

So, resistance is possible. ;)

Can't really say much about the tracker beams - was given M$S Office 2004 yesterday :D :D :D - and I'm told it has some really nice stuff on it that PCs don't get :D

I use Open Office instead.

OTW

my humble apologies for the derail .

Snag is that when us Non PC folk get together we do tend to compare things a bit.

Back on track now

I use OpenOffice and Firefox/Thunderbird (I'm seriously addicted to tabbed browsing) but on Windows. I have a dual boot SuSE 10 install on a 10GB partition but I never boot Linux because I play a lot of video games and Windows is pretty much the only option for commercial games.

Did you use the "Open Office for Mac".. modified for Mac, or did you download the NeoOfficeJ.. which is built to be Mac from the ground up?

Oh had been trying from OO - am told that NeoOfficeJ was much better BUT have now got M$S Office 2004 which I am most reliably informed is FAR better for Macs than the PC Version :D :D :D

All this is 'cos I'm helping my GodPapa to proof read some liturgical stuff he is doing

I'll probably put NeoOffice on at some point now - I freely admit that M$S stuff is not what I would prefer to use - but who looks a gift horse in the mouth ? :D

Well, I'll admit, my Mac is contaminated by the Evil Empire, too (M$ office), but I like to keep checking out alternatives, from respectable companies!;)
