Gorgeous, Oblio!

Hey, have you seen the latest edition of The Dawn (diocesan newspaper)? There's a photo of the outside of your temple. It's with an article about church architecture and beauty.

There's also a photo with my Priest in it. Page 9 at the bottom right, he's second-from-left in the photo.

No, I haven't but I heard about it. We still don't get the Dawn (administration is not our strong point) so one of our more charter members is bringing one in. I am hoping Vladyka will make a trip down from Atlanta next month (clergy conference) to see it installed.

Very cool. But I have a question, whose icons are those on the deacon doors, I am so used to angels there.

Ss. Philip & Timothy

We also will have to the far right and left on the walls, panels with Ss. Nicholas & Innocent (similar to what holds Christ and the Theotokos). Above them on the second tier will be Ss. Peter and Paul. Our iconographer apparently measured wrong or used the wrong units when she measured the church and this was not revealed until the icons arrived from Moscow. This made the icons too large and the iconostasis had to be modified to extend past the opening in front of the altar.

Now you need to cover the rest of the church with icons!

It is cool that they decided to put in the square pillars. That way you can have icons on the sides:clap:.

I actually have patterns for doing that, based on a very beautiful church in Russia.
