how can we reach teens with pets?

I know there are a lot of teens out there with pets, or who would like to have a CFpet. the problem is how to reach them as a group to tell them about the care of CF pets and about the pets for adoption.

no one over the age of 21 can post in the teen forums which is a good rule. Right now the only thing i can think of is asking the teen mods to speak for us
and post messages reminding the teens of pet care and that pets can be adopted as well as created.

anyone else have any ideas?

I went through my buddy list and asked the ones that are caring and fed my pet when I wasn't here. I found someone to adopt a pet from Crow this way. :)

What I did in the teens forums is, since I spend a fair amount of time there, several people asked me about it in PMs, so I posted a thread about it, mentioning the fact that I had been adsked about it and the thread was to answer questions.

I just thought about the half dead pets I see and it usually is from people with low posts. Maybe Erwin could begin the pet rule of 500 posts before a pet. Harsh? No,it just means the member likes it here and is going to stay.

It might help a little, but it wouldn't help a whole lot. Even someone that only makes one post a month will reach 500 posts. They'd just do it very slowly. And 500 is a bit much. I'd be more inclined to go with 250 or something like that.
