View Full Version : Dad's back in the hospital

My dad had to be readmitted last night because he was 3-5 times yesterday, had high blood pressure, and a temperature of 100 degrees. Mom took him in and the doctor told her he has pneumonia cause he didn't breathe into his tube enough. :mad: They deflated his lung to put a drainage tube in it after surgery and he couldn't get it to reinflate, but the doctors refuse to entertain the idea that could be it.

Now, thanks to them sending him home earlier than they should have, he has lost his will to live. He told mom that with all of the pain he's in he would rather die than continue down this road. :cry: Anyways, please keep my dad in your prayers cause it's not looking good.

Dawn, I am praying for your father and for you and your mom. I'm very, very sorry that things are not going well, especially with your father's mood (although I can understand, to an extent). Is your father a Christian? I'm just asking because I want to know if we need to pray for his salvation.

Thank you everyone,
Dad's coming home this afternoon. His lungs still haven't cleared, but the doctors think he'll be alright. Mom went into the ER herself Saturday and they told her that her potassium's low, so if you could also add her to your prayer lists it'd be great! Thank you again.

I'm glad to hear that the doctors are hopeful about your dad. Praise God! :clap: I will keep praying for him. How is doing, spiritually and emotionally? I was concerned earlier when you wrote that he had lost the will to live. I am praying for your mom.
