Hi everybody!
I am writing a paper about the Intertestamental Period and I would like your inputs about the acceptability of using the term "Jews" when describing the people of Judah. I have heard before that this is a term that is less than positive and that the term "Jewish people" shoudl be used. But, since this is a paper about them, I feel kind of repetative and thesaurically-challenged when I keep using it over an over. :) So, is it true that in a generic situation describing the people of Judah the term "Jews" is a poor choice of words? What alternatives are there, since Israelites doesn't really apply to the Intertestamental Period?
Thanks!
Dave
