Being from W Va. and from a family of miners and a former coal miner myself my heart breaks because of this. I truly enjoyed the job while I was doing it. With the first step one takes into the mine the dangers are in the front of your mind, nevertheless you continue. Those who are coal miners have and always will be a subject of my prayers.

They said that the mine has had several written-ups and saying that it was the worst mine or one of the worst mines in the USA.
Had they warned the people who ran that W.V. mill, all twelve miners would be living today.
