...but my Dad is a Gentile believer and pastor, who eats Kosher, and my mother is Jewish and doesn't. Dad says I should, Mum says do what you want.

Does anyone know of some good references online in support of a Kosher diet?

(No, I do not attend a Messianic congregation- all the ones near me are not teaching my kind of doctrine and I'm ordained already in another tradition)

G-d Bless you all....

Maybe a good place to start would be reading Holy Cow! by Hope Egan. You can find it here: http://holycownews.com/ This book is probably the main reason half my kids decided to switch to Biblically kosher. :)

Learning to be living spiritual beings to Jesus and Holy Father is more important than worrying about food.

When I was a Child I was educated that I was one of the Chinese Race. later Christianity told me I should be a "Christian". But in fact I am a descendant of Abraham by flesh. Should my faith be Abrahamic Faith(Messianic Judaism)?I am also confused as you. I am not a Christian in general meaning; I do not like many customs of Paganism in Christianity. I just receive that Yeshua is Messiah in Talmud and His chose people are dispersed in the whole world. When I have diner with other Christians, I am not used to eat pork as them.

May Adonai enlighten you in some day.:amen:

Happy Hanukkah and New Year!

Shalom Yusuph

True, but that doesn't help me with the question. MY father's health is fantastic- he claims its been due to his Kosher diet.

Not as unusual as you may think... many are being convicted in the spirit to follow the Lord's diet and lifestyle. I am a gentile who followed the biblical diet long before I found messianic. I believe that my youth and vigor come from the diet. I look 10-20 years younger than my age. I also do not act my age. I do not suffer from any aches or pains than many my age suffer. I give the credit all to the Lord and his diet plan.

Hi ContraMundum,

Yeah, I know what you mean. Why should we think that G-d knows what He is talking about when it comes to the things we put in this body He created? (This is me being facetious, he he ;) )

BTW, BBBIIIIGGGG difference between what the Father laid out in scripture and the "traditions" that man has built up around them. Some of it makes sense and some is, well... poo-poo. I'd recommend sticking to His word. But that is just me.

I'm old enough to make my own choices, an ordained minister and living on my own. :) So, yes, I guess I'm not under obligations pertaining to households etc.

But, I do feel that I'm under obligation to take care of my body.

My Dad's argument is simple: G-d says some things are for food and others aren't. My mom says it's all good- and she's Jewish. I love the irony.

Does anyone have some online links about this for me?

That's good advice.
