I like my Uncle Bud name much better as that is who I am, plus I have a lot of posts with this name. I also like my new faith icon, what do you think? I told myself I was not going to change to Orthodox and then change it back again and so forth until I was sure this is where I was going to be. Well... guess what.

This will not be easy for me but it has to be done. From all that I have read we agree on the dogmatic end, and though we may disagree on some pious traditions, I hope we can agree on the fundamentals.

I will do my best not to offer any explainations of things that I am not totally aware of (or have sources for) and will do my best to represent the TAW community in a way that would make you all proud to know me.

I will do my best to be respectful of your beliefs and all I ask is that if I do mess up continue to teach me in love as you have been.

I also brought back the monkey but it is not permanent. I know alot of people liek the monkey but I am not as fond of it as you are.

Many years!

Uncle Bud

I am fairly new to the board and to Orthodoxy as well, so I don't know the circumstances to which you are referring , but I do think your promise is also a good one for me to take.

Mike and I are old style reppers from way back. My rep count when I turned it off was in the 500,000 range. Some got upset that we were not taking the online repping system seriously and we were the cause of the reform of the rep process. Some thought we were perhaps making it trivial. I will turn it back on I guess, but if anyone wnats to know how I got the reps, they were all ill gotten and I am sorry if I offended then. But we had fun doing it ;)

My avatars? I usually troll message boards looking for the best ones or else i do a search on Google and pick from the sites there. It is hard now because many people do not have "free" icons that do not have a catch attached.

Here is a pretty good site although not all of it is g rated so be careful.

Repping was just a fun way of saying "hello" to everyone! It was kind of like a "Mother Goose and Grim" cartoon I once saw: Atilla (the cat) asks Grim (the dog) why he is sniffing a tree. Grim says to Atilla that cats just wouldn't understand but that each tree is like a giant message board that every dog leaves a message for every other dog on. Atilla replies "and what do those messages say" to which Grim responds "HI!"

It is good to have you with us Uncle Bud. Your icons will be on the way this afternoon.

Although he did get me in trouble with someone who was a good friend of mine-at that time :P for inviting me to join the rep parade. She was not at all too happy about that, thinking we were abusing the rep system. (And no, the person wasn't even a mod!) But that is not at all Uncle Bud's fault! :D It is good to see him join us!

Close it was about me calling one of your icons "nice artwork". I am glad we forgave each other quickly over that one :)

Dear Reader Moses:

All you need to do is post 36 more and you can start repping with a green square. Right now if you rep someone all they get is a grey square but people can read your comments. So continue to send positive comments. People appreciate that.

People receive
0.1 percent of your reputations.
0.1 percent of your posts
and 1 point for each year that you are a member here.

So, once you have 1000 posts then you can give about 5 rep points, but that will increase.

Don't forget the next few:

Kid - "Yeah, well I guess he had it comin'..."

Will - "We all got it comin', kid."

Kid - "I ain't never killed no one before that, Will."

Will - "Well, you sure killed the hell outta that man back there."

I like that exchange because of the dark humor in it and how Will is simultaneously sympathetic to the Kid and hard as nails with the facts of what it means to be a killer.
