I ask for your prayers. I was in the hosptial today with my daughter and we just found out she has double pneumonia and a bladder infection. She's home now and you would never guess she's sick by the way she's playing with her older brother even after getting poked and prodded all day long. We're putting her on antibiotics. What made me real mad today is that I called her dr's office to talk to an on-call dr, but I was transferred to the 0n-call'soffice instead and they were closed, so there ws no on-call doctor. This place stinks.
Thanks everyone

Grrrrrrrr!!!! I know that medical people need time off too, but they also need to be responsible for covering things that don't happen during banker's hours. Earlier this year I had a cornea transplant reject (fun times) and I didn't realize it was happening until about 1am on a Sunday, so I had to go to the E.R. The triage guy that processed me gave me all kinds of grief about "bothering" the E.R. with my little eye problem. I honestly thought he wasn't going to let me see a doctor. It turns out it was so far along that they had to call in a specialist to work on it right then, and I had 14 different lesions and abcesses that had to be repaired that night. The doctor, to his credit, never complained about helping me in the dead of night in the middle of the weekend. But if I had run into that triage guy on the way out I probably would've hit him with an eye disease book, hoping that he'd learn by osmosis.

OH dear :(
How is that kiddies can seem so ill with a relatively minor complaint and then get hit with something really nasty and shake you with they way they cope ?
Prayers for ill daughter and Mom [ who will need them just as much ]

Thanks everyone. Sorry, I've been gone trying to take care of my little girl. We went to the doctor today an he said he couldn't hear pneumonia, but obviously the x rays showed it and she seems to be getting a lot more cheerful (and VERY hungry) I'm sure she will be back to her normal vibrant self any time now
