As we celebrate the birth of Our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ, we join our voices with those of the angels in praising the One Who took on our human nature in order to renew us and all creation, that we might become “partakers of His divine nature", as Saint Peter reminds us. This is indeed a reason to be “of good cheer” and to “greatly rejoice!”

Why thank you. Please send my regards to all of our brothers and sisters in the Orthodox church. We are all very blessed to have fellowship with each other, all because God the Son came down to us on this day.

My Lord was born 2000 years ago, grew up, died for my sins, was resurrected and is now preparing to return at any moment. He wasn't born yesterday, yesterday was the day we commemorate that day when human beings could see God face to face for the very first time. Not a birth, not a birthday, but a day set aside to memorialize Christ's birth in human form.
