I was reading a post in the Outreach forums and something was brought to my attention that I never thought to look at.

There are arguments over the proper age of the earth and the universe, of which I'm not going to debate because I don't care. But a question was asked that made me go hmmm?

When God created the trees, how old were they? When God created Adam, how old was he? Adam was not born, and did not grow up as a child. He was created, so at what age was he created?

Interesting? No?

Yes, interesting. I suppose I've known that, but never really thought about it. Hmmm!

There are some theories that include the functioning earth, created in an aged state. Meaning that Creation appeared older than it was once it was created. People usually cite God's inability to lie whenever this theory is discussed, although I do not think that is a great argument because I do not see it as lying.
