I have a question... Do Eastern Orthodox Christians evangelize? I ask 'cause I rarely, if ever, heard of Eastern Orthodox until this website, but I'm sure that's probably due to my own ignorance.

Certainly.
The Orthodox have evangelized all of Eastern Europe and much of Asia. And most of Europe was evangelized by the Western part of the Church before it schismed off in 1054. The reason you have not heard much of us is twofold, much of it was done long ago (we are the world's second largest Church) and the Russian Revolution decimated efforts in this country for much of the last century. You will see more and more of us :)

In addition, local Orthodox Churches have their own plans for outreach and missions are established on a diosesan (sp?) level.

My parish sponsors various outreach things throughout the year. We've gotten new converts from some of them, too. We're just not a "door to door" kind of Church.
