Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you have an Icon of St Matrona of Moscow. She is the favorite saint of my fiance and we tried to find one in Cyprus but nobody knows her there. I also tried to find one on the Internet and I found some tiny ones. If anybody has one could you post it here on this thread?

Thanks

Yiannis

If you're speaking of the St. Matrona whose relics are in the Pokrovsky Monastery in Moscow, then I have a small icon attached below. The flowers you see are actually roses from her glass-topped coffin that were given to us by the sisters at the monastery pressed in beneath the laminate that covers the icon.

That was fast! Thanks

I tried to edit the image to make it bigger, but I'm not good at that sort of thing. It keeps coming out real small in the attachment. It's not that small really, about 3 X 5 inches.

My wife and I visited the relics of St. Matrona four times at the Pokrovsky Monastery in Moscow and obtained a series of miracles as the result of her intercession.

She really is a great saint, and Pokrovsky is a fantastic monastery.

St Matrona of Moscow is a favorite of my wife as she is blind too. We have that little icon, and some rose scented oil from Pokrovsky Monastery.

There is an Icon of her in my Church. And until this thread, I had no idea who this wonderful Saint was.

That's her.

Stalin went to see her during WWII. She told him point blank that if he didn't lighten up on the Church and stop his persecutions, all of Russia would fall to the Nazis.

Stalin eased up a bit after that, at least until after the war.
