I'm so sorry, Twin. I lost my dad suddenly a few years ago. Peace to you and your family.

Actually, I also lost my grandfather just a couple months ago, and as in Liz's and Twin's cases, it happened suddenly, without very much warning. I think that these should be solemn reminders to us that in life, the cross is the only certain assurance in which we should hope. Our lives are so fragile that they can be demanded of us at any time, and Christ is our only anchor in the stormy sea. Therefore, let's all remember to hope in Christ, because he is the One who never dies. I try to remember Romans 15:13, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."

I am deeply saddened by this. May this verse encourage you:

2 Cor. 2:3-4 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God."

Athanasian Creed

May the ever-faithful God stand by you in this time of grief and give you peace!:prayer:

As one who has lost his mother to Lou Gehrig's disease in late '82 and my dad in '84 to chronic alcoholism, i can relate to losing a parent. Mercifully, my mom was a Christian and is no longer suffering :bow:and i had the priviledge of leading my father to Christ on his deathbed! Hallelujah.:bow:

Thank God for His lovingkindness and faithfulness, even in the darkest of times!!!
