What would they consider of you if you left the Babtist church?

I left a Baptist church, became Lutheran Brethren. It doesn't have many of the forms that turn off Baptists. It has a simple orderly service, no robes, no altar. Sermon is the most important part of the worship service. Voting members are adults who have made a profession of faith. Congregational form of government, with local congregations governed by a plurality of elders of which the pastor is one. Synod is not over the congregations but is formed for the purposes of cooperation in such things as running the seminary and in missions. Theology is solid. There is emphasis that the person should live Christianity while not confusing the issue into a works based salvation.

I would consider any church that I felt was trying to follow and teach in a biblical manner. I'll admit I like a contemporary worship service, but even that's secondary to growing in Christ.

I'd go to a reformed church. But I enjoy the contemporary music at my church a little too much! :)
I think the hardest thing would be the regulative style worship in a reformed church. I would really have a hard time getting used to that because I was raised Quaker(very relaxed, very open style of worship) and then became a member of a community church(basically baptist, member of the ABC). So I have no real experience at any kind of regulative-type worship.
But, if for some reason, the teaching changes at my church, and becomes too worldly, then I'd head to the nearest reformed church I could find.

What is the question?
is it... "What would the congregation think of me if I left my church?"
or.... "What would the pastor think of me if I left the baptist church?"
or... something else?

I would explore the following, in order of preference:
1. Lutheranism
2. Anglicanism
3. Eastern Orthodoxy
...but much depends on how the local churches are as well as why I would leave my current church (which isn't Baptist, btw, but I am interested in the question)

Why does the music seem to center around what church people attend? This is off topic, but just noticed a couple of posts that resembled that. A lot of people now days go to church to be entertained or feel happy about the music service, but you should go to worship God and to grow in your spiritual walk.
As to the question, I think the pastor would want you to go where God is leading you. It's not important as to what others think, it is important that you do God's will and sometimes worrying about people can mess that up for you.

Your being 14 yo, I'd ask for little more context as to why your asking this question.

If you're referring to the references about contemporary woship, I can only speak for myself, but it has little to do with music or entertainment.
I still love the old hymns and gospels. I still want to hear the word of God being read unabashadly. I don't want to sit on my hands, nod my head at the appropriate times, or dress in a way that is completely uncomfortable to me (and takes away from my worship).
I want to be able to say "Amen" when the pastor hits a home run, "Hallelujah" when the Spirit makes me jump with joy. I want to let God hear my hands clap as worship.

I meant no ill will towards you directly. Only that the trend these days seems to be finding a church that is "upbeat" and contemporary or entertaining because we don't want to bore our congregate. To each his onw. I do not judge.

Since I'm one that mentioned the music, I'll answer that. I have the best of both worlds, I think. The music is contemporary, which I like( I also love the old hymns we occasionally sing too!) BUT, and foremost, the preaching is true. And if that EVER changes, I'd be out of there really fast. I think I mentioned that in my earlier post. The music is secondary to the preaching, but it's not unimportant.

Do you ever feel like you shouldn't have posted something because everyone thinks you were attacking them specifically? :-)

 I didn't think you were attacking anyone. I just responded to clear things up before someone ran that tangent down. You have a very merry Christmas! :)

Yep, know what I do? Get over it! :D
Seriously though to the OP, if you leave the Baptist church they hunt you down and telephone you, or repeatedly visit your home asking how you are. If you are from a large church, expect to run into someone everywhere you go grocery store, Wal-Mart, each time they ask, “How have you been? - we missed you” or other small talk about your family.
Then if that doesn’t work they chase you down with fruitcake and casseroles or other assortments of food.
If you don't fall for the food, then they REALLY know you’re a heathen and no longer bother with you! I mean come on? Who can cook better than the Baptists and Methodists? ;)
I am totally kidding. As far as I know there is no "control" of who stays or leaves the church. Some might voice concerns just in case there is a misconception but ultimately it is ones decision. (I think!)

For what it's worth, I think it's nice when the same church offers both kinds of services--my parents' church is large enough to have 3 services, one is contemporary, one is traditional, and one is "blended". So there is something for everyone and the teaching is all the same since it is the same church :)

Abba's little girl :D
Leviticus 19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Mennonites are the best cooks and bakers.
I commit a felony for some good shoo-fly pie right now...
