How about my two front teeth? ;)

What I know I am getting is an opportunity to witness Christ to my Grandfather and Uncles through God's word.

Being assured of their salvation would be the best Christmas gift I could ask for in this life.

Well, I asked for a few icons but my husband ain't about to do that. I think I will get the anniversary DVD of the Sound of Music...the best film ever made. And I am hoping for some cheese and chocolate (an inside joke).

My sister and her family are coming up from Indianapolis.

I know I'm getting a diglot with the NET New Testament and the NA27 Greek.

Otherwise I haven't a clue, maybe one of those three packs of underwear.

I really love being surprised, so I don't know, nor do I want to know what I'm getting. I'm praying we stay awake long enough on Christmas Eve to make the 11:00 p.m. service at church (probably my favorite thing to do over Christmas). I'm also praying for good times with family and friends during the Holidays.

P.S. I blew my bonus on a new digital camera for the husband. He was using a Minolta DiMage 7, and was ready to upgrade. Got him the Minolta Maxxum 7D (which I know he had researched the heck out of and was planning on getting it next year), and a Sigma lens (that I hope works - I know nothing about cameras and lenses), along with a 1 GB memory card and a new camera bag. I think he is on to me, as he was looking lovingly at his filter collection last night.

Isn't Christ mass supposed to be about Jesus and giving. I really could care less about what I am getting and more about what I am giving.

RADIDIO-- You are truly blessed. A new wife and grandchildren. I hope he doubly blesses you this next year. ;)

Well, then...what are you giving?

Well, then...what are you giving?

Well as I mentioned in my first post. I am giving a witness to my Grandfather and Uncles in our family devotional prior to Christmas present opening.

I am going to the stores tonight or tomorrow night to buy my wife's Christmas present. I am hoping to find a nice piece of jewelry to give her. I haven't bought jewelry since before we were married.

I'll mention what I'm giving, as I dunno what I shall get (and don't really care spiritually, but my flesh really wants season 4 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer...)

I'm giving a new phone to mom and dad, as their current one is on the fritz. I'm giving my fiancé some house slippers, perfume, a Swiffer, and the Chronicles of Narnia (all of them in one big book).

And of course, love. All the love I have to give.

And to anyone who needs it, I'll be happy to give witness for Christ to them, but that's not a Christmas-special thing really, as for motive, but perhaps for opportunity it is, I dunno yet. I'll see by Sunday I suppose.

Would be a cool present if the rest of my family goes to church with us on Christmas Eve. They usually bow out. :(

You go Angel.

Hey have you seen Allyson Hannigan in her new series (How I met your mother.) It is a real hoot. She is actually much older than she looks.

Actually the only gift I REALLY want is for my family to attend the Divine Liturgy with me on Sunday morning, the Feast of the Nativity. As it is now the boys have promised to sleep in and my husband has promised "no way".

I will attend Vespers at St. Philothea's Christmass Eve and all of us will attend the midnight (actually 11:00pm) service at the Lutheran church.

Edited to add: Oh and I am getting my husband a new Bugaboo jacket, a Weather Channel ball cap, a 3 Kings tie, a Veggie Tales Nativity set (don't ask...he wants it in the worst way!) and a Magnum PI Aloha shirt...again don't ask, Elder Al is into wierd shirts.

The kids will be similarily spoiled.

My parents and Al's mothers will only get gift cards and if I don't get my act together this morning and get to the post office they won't arrive on time!

Yea-Scott thanks. I guess your right but I'm just a sinfull human that likes to give and "to get".

Got the grandson a used pickup for his 16th birthday. Bought a 7/8 carat solitare, blue/white diamond for Jan (my new wife), an airline ticket for her to go see her new grand-daughter in UT and 1K$ wall-mart gift cards for the grandkids. Donations to various charities.

Now I'm broke.

Is that enough Scott? :)

That is so creative/sincere/laudable that some people take the time to be inventive and build/create/write something for a person they care for or love. Cudos to you Music4Hym777.

I have a hard time even sending Christmas cards and if it wasn't for my wife buying/addressing/writing/stamping/sending the Cards "I" would never get it done :):)

I got a raise a couple of days ago too! Not THAT much, though. But every little bit counts!

We're travelling this Christmas to see family, so that's a big bonus. We can delay the first Christmas away from home for another year! ;)

Best gift EVER: God's son, our Savior, the Messiah!

Gift WANTED (but entirely unlikely): Peace on earth, goodwill to men.

I don't know what others are getting me, and honestly, I LIKE it that way!

Rose, I love Elder Al and his funny shirts - and I can SOOO see him wanting the VeggieTale's nativity set!
