What do you think about the missionary diocese of the Namibian Lutheran Church in Sweden? My teacher told me some 20 years ago that we might see the day African missionaries start coming to Europe, and now it has happened. Most Lutheran Churches of Europe are quite cross about it.

Yours, Jeremy.

What's sad is that the church in Europe needs another reformation. They have been run over by the state in almost every case. There are some Independent Lutheran groups in a few of the countries, but they are small and have no influence. The last few years we have seen the Lutheran Church in both Norway and Sweden give approval to Homosexuality as a lifestyle. We may very well have to send missionaries to Europe to show them their roots and what the true faith is.

There is a huge missionary effort needed in Europe. Many people think they are born Christians just because of their parents or their country. As things currently sit, Europe will rapidly become predominantly Muslim.

The Nambians sending missionaries to Sweden is only noteworthy because it is Lutheran. Missionaries from other groups such as some of the charismatic churches have been active there for awhile now.

There is hope though, there are indeed a growing number of Christians in Europe who are not just Christian in name.

If our Lutheran brothers in Namibia want to help their Lutheran brothers elsewhere it is a good thing.
