My Father and I have had a strained relationship to say the least. Since moving out of home I have found God, starting attending church etc. I have not hid my life or my faith from my family and it seems to have had an effect on my Dad. He has recently gotten a job as part-time janitor of a church and has recently begun speaking to the Reverand there. He says it's all thanks to me and I should be proud of him. It's a Lutheran church and he says he hasn't made up his mind yet( Born and raised in a strict Catholic home for 18 years who fell away from the church and God for the past 30) but I should be proud because I'm the reason he's working there & speaking with the Reverend.
My relationship with the Lord has done wonders for how I deal with others and to think maybe I'm leading my Dad to Christ is wonderful. I'm not getting ahead of myself by any means but I'm very happy with the news.

A prayer request for my Father, he's living in a home with very negative feelings towards God and religion and he could really use all the prayers he can get.

Praise be to God!
Isn't it amazing how God takes the least, most nonessential thing and manuvers it so that the greates good comes from it.
Father I pray that you protect this man in his search for you and your truth, and that you will open his heart,mind, eyes,and ears so that he will be ready when the time comes to throw open the door and sup with your. Also father I lift up this young lady and ask that you continue to use her in mighty and amazing ways. Keep her close to her father and always keep your word every ready upon her lips.
We lift this up in the name of your glorious risen son.
Good Fortune ;~}

Sometimes disappointment in life stiffles our ability to see God's goodness toward us. I will pray for your Father asking our Holy Father who understands everything about us to comfort him with all comfort, to strengthen his inner man by encouraging his heart and sheding the light of HIS love abroad in him.
