G'day,
I was reading the book 'The Revival We Need' by Oswald J Smith, and I ran across this statement:
In reading over the Twelve Rules of the Early Methodist church I was struck with the fact that they aimed at and looked upon soul-winning as their supreme task. Let me quote from one of them: "You have nothing to do but to save souls. Therefore spend and be spent in this work. It is not your business to preach so many times; but to save as many souls as you can; to bring as many sinners as you possibly can to repentance, and with all your power to build them up in that holiness, without which they cannot see the Lord."--From "The Twelve Rules."--John Wesley.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can view the twelve rules online?
Thanks!
God Bless

Excellent fin, ContraMundum!

Great resource, thank you Contra!
My advisor wrote his dissertation on Wesley and I am quickly beginning to understand his love for the man.:)

I'm just a casual reader and know very little. But my advisor is a well known author, Alan Schreck, so you may have heard of him. His dissertation was probably done over 30 years ago and it was on Wesley and Church renewal.

Nicky,
Actually, this would be a great add to the FAQ thread, IMO.

I've not heard of Schreck before, but now I understand he has written some fine work indeed on the explanation of his faith.
Let us know how you go with Wesley. One of the most interesting things about him is his catholicity in the core doctrines he believed. He, as far as I can tell, is one of the few theologians of his time to really open The Book on the topic of the work of the Spirit in the life of a Christian, his teaching on imparted grace in the soul of a believer is indeed a great re-statement of classical Christian Orthodoxy, for example.

If this is in the FAQ thread then we probably don't need this one stickied as well.
