If you're not sure what denomination you are, you are probably non-denominational. Your starting point should always be the bible. If you find a denomination whose creeds you agree with, then you will probably identify yourself with them.

Good advice is to stick with Gods word. Dont worry about anything other than following Jesus. Ask the spirit and the spirit will guide you. God will withold nothing from you. Gods intention was not to divide, men did that when starting denominations for there own purpose.
God Bless.

Beautifully said, *GOD* doesn't care what religion you are, its whatever brings you closer to him (correctly). When I mean correctly, I mean not through good works, but through following his word (bible) and loving him with all your heart. Your job is to tell others about him, and that is one of the most important jobs. This job is more important than your earthly job. sorry, I do this sometimes, I get way off topic.
Anyways, when someone ask you what religion you are, jsut tell them that you belive in God, and that religion is just a term used to describe someonses belifs, you believe that theres a God, and Jesus died on teh cross for your sins. Thats all, dont get to fed up with what religion you are , its an earthly term, dont worry about it.

A good point is a "religion" is a set of rules, as we all know Paul was an ardent opponet of legalism, dont worry about a particular denomination unless there doctrines contain blatant heresy such as Jesus not being God.

Normally there is a sign out front of the church.
If that does not work, ask the pastor, that is what they are there for.

Just by reading the Scriptures and finding a church that goes along with that and how scriptural they are and also where you feel you can be excited for God and everything. About two/three years ago at the college class at my church we studed this book called "Why the Church of Christ?" and the author became a new believer and was not brought up in a religious home specifically with Christianity and he wanted to find a church that went along with the Bible. So he did and he checked out other churches and went by the Bible and found the Church of Christ. I'm not saying you specifically should be apart of that church but maybe the book can help you out since you seem to be in the same type of situation as this author. He points out various different worship things and what the church believes in. You can find it at any Christian book store.
