1)How and why would i want to become a Christian?

1) I don't like the term "christian" and all it implies. Try thinking of it as being (re)conciled with your creator, a child of God, living your life with Him, letting Him guide you and give you what you need and provide for you. I believe we are created to be with Him as our loving father.

2) Whosoever comes to Him, He will never cast away. There are as many ways to come to God as there are people. I'd give you a "recipe", but it'd only turn into an argument over doctrines and "sinner's prayers" and such. I'll just say, seek Him. Talk to Him. He longs for you more than you can ever long for Him. He's a person, not a machine.

3) Because of insecurity and pride, I think.

4) I did that once, but Jesus was still there, arms open, calling. You could say I finally responded to His call. I didn't do much, He did it. I just decided to let Him.

5) The bible speaks of "His Spirit testifying with our spirit" - it sounds kinda lofty, doesn't it? I guess it means there's a security you get on the inside, which IMO should not be confused with mere fleeting emotion.

6) I do, because I love to see people find their purpose and meaning and life. I love to see people start living, with all they are and all they have. I love seeing people letting God love them.

thats a myth. until we are redeemed, we are slaves to sin to begin with.

Joh 8:32-36 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (33) They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? (34) Yeshua answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. (35) And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. (36) If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

5)How do i know im saved?

Joh 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
Joh 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Yeshua Christ, whom thou hast sent.

6)Who cares on Earth if im saved and why?

1. i care, because i love you. i dont want you to die.
2. God cares, he gave his son to die for you.
3. you are special. but every man dies, and we must be saved by a Savior, and we have to believe in that savior to receive his salvation.

1) To be saved means to be saved from God's judgement on a sinful world!
2) If first start with believing. You have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Acts 2:38 Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost!!
3) When Men mix their sinful ways or thoughts or rationaliztions with God's word. Instead of sticking with what God says clearly in his word. This is due to lack of knowing his word, lack of belief in his word, or lack of obedience to his word.
4)"know ye not that whosoever committh sin is the servent of sin." When we're born, we're born into sin.
5)Acts 2:4 and they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak in tounges.
Acts 10:46 For they heard them speak in with tounges, and magnify God....
Acts 19:6 and when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them: and they spake with tounges and phophesied.
When you recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit you'll speak in tounges.
6)You know it even if I couldn't find onw person on this earth that cared if i was saved or not. I still be saved because God want's me to be. He his desire is that all men repent so they can be saved. So when it comes to be being saved God's opinion is the one you should care about and not man's

I was raised in a Christian home, and when I was in college I explored other "paths" -- what I noticed about NOT being a Christian (or living as though I were not one, whatever the case may be) was that my reasons for living and for getting out of bed every day became fewer and fewer. I found myself questioning everything. It seemed that life was only about "Birth, School, Work, Death," as in a song I used to sing along with. Futile. Useless. I got to a point where I could no longer stand this, a point where I was willing (gulp) to admit that my parents had stumbled across the Truth and that I had rejected Him. As a Christian I have a relationship with the Creator that fuels my life. I find He loves me and is constantly, every moment, wanting to fellowship with me. As a Christian I have hope for life after death, an overwhelmingly wonderful opportunity to meet this Creator face to face and live with Him in that loving relationship for ever. The thought of "for ever" blows my little finite mind, but I know that HE will be there.... ahhh....

2)How do i get saved? First, you must want to. For many Americans this is the hardest part. We must admit that what we see as hokey and old-hat is actually true - there's an all-powerful, all-knowing Creator that will reward every step we take toward Him with unspeakable joy and incomprehensible peace. And the first step to take toward Him is to admit that He is right and we are wrong. There is no hope for us to amount to anything at all in the light of eternity without His life infused into ours. He has graciously provided a way for us to know Him and enjoy His light and breath for ever, and that is by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. We must accept this, knowing that he did not die for nothing but to reconcile us to GOD and thereby give our lives meaning and purpose.

3)How does the Church manage to always fight another? As Christians we are all in a process of being changed from a worldly, self-oriented type personality to the personality of Jesus. I believe that where there is jealousy and arguing, it's because people are clinging to their self-oriented lives. Jesus said that if we lose our lives we will find them, but some people continue to doubt that. They are having an issue of trust that doubtless the Lord is working on in their lives. We can be pretty prickly in areas where the Lord is working on us. But I think you are not really talking about fighting so much as the different beliefs that Christians have about different things. It's because not everything is spelled out in Scripture. Boy, it would be a lonnnnng book if everything were spelled out. The whole point of having Christianity instead of Judaism is that now we are not supposed to rely upon a book for everything but instead be able to consult the Holy Spirit within us. Problem is, not everyone actually does that. And since we are all in this "process" I talked about above, sometimes we have trouble telling the difference between what God wants us to do and what our feelings want us to do. When I get into disagreements with other Christians, either one side or the other is not submitting to the will of the Holy Spirit. I could go on and on here, but hopefully I've answered your question enough.....

4)How does a man who gave his soul to the devil get it back? The devil will not go against your will -- indeed, he cannot. Your will is a part of your soul that is ALWAYS your own. Not even the Lord will over-ride it. By an act of your will, you can ALWAYS give yourself over to the Lord, no matter what kind of deal you've made with that lying serpent. But if you decide to make your decisions apart from God, you are submitting to the will of the devil. Stop doing that, and do what the Lord wants you to do as revealed in the Bible, and if/when you are a Christian, do what the Holy Spirit moves you to do (which will never contradict what the Bible says). Submit to God, resist the devil, and the devil will flee from you. Get into God's presence and He will accept you wholly and transform your life.

5)How do i know im saved? If you are in relationship with God through Jesus Christ, you are saved.

6)Who cares on Earth if im saved and why? Anyone who is a Christian cares if you are saved, because the Holy Spirit in us desires a relationship with ALL people. That's the whole purpose behind this whole earthly existence. It's the time when God woos humankind. Many people who are not saved "care" too - they are intimidated by people who claim to have found the Truth. It's okay with them for you to search for the Truth, as long as you don't find it. And if you find it, you'd better not find the real Truth - the Truth that's in Christ. It's like you are saying they're fools to have rejected Him. The truth is, it is foolish to reject Him.

I've met people that claimed they knew God and had a relationship with him. Yet their lives did not reflect that, They've never spoke in touges or have exhibited anything that Jesus said that believers in him would exhibit. Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils: They shall speak with new tounges..... If these signs aren't following the spirit of God is not in you.

After all, I assume you don't go around exorcising demons and handle snakes.

God is mighty enough for whoever calls upon Him. It's about identity, not doctrine, being a new creation, not a scholar, it's about being a family, not in agreement.

Keep in mind I'm not saying that you have to speak in tounges in order to be a christian. I'm saying when God gives you his HOly Spirit you "will" speak in tounges. When people have questions about God's word and what it means. You have to go to God's word to get the answer. He shows us repeatedly that this will be one of the signs that follow those that believe in his name.

Also, take note that Jesus did not say that "some" of the people that believe in my name will be able to do these thing. He says plainly that those that believe in his name.

i was reading the bible and even saw in the passion of the Christ that the thief was forgiven and he did not speak in tounges or handle snakes ?? why would you say that you have to have these gifts to be saved ???? and ty savedbyfaithinchrist for your testomony they has made me very happy

Excuse me but what did you mean by this Tal?

I mean that some things are simply not addressed in Scripture. A while back on this nondenom forum there was a lonnnnng debate on whether or not it was okay to have drums in worship services. Although I can think of some wordage in the Psalms which indicates that God likes percussion instruments, I don't know of anything that says you must or you must not use them. So we must rely upon what the Holy Spirit tells us in our spirits. From my own experience it seems to me that the Holy Spirit guides us to use drums sometimes and not to use them at other times. But some drummers can't seem to keep their hands still, and some people like to tell them to stopppp, even when the Lord is pleased.
