I want to express myself and say that I feel like I am beginning to dislike the Christian religion. Now I said religion. I feel like all it has turned into is politics. I feel like no one really even cares about it as much as they say. Most every Christian I have run into believes that they are Gods soul purpose for a movement. All im seeing is pride and contradictions. In fact I feel like my eyes are wide open and I am seeing the faults of the christian religion. I feel that Christianity the religion needs prayer. In fact there have been church's that tell me they are unhappy with what the church has turned into. There are so many immature in the spirit preaching then there are understanding and wise. This is not a rant this is truth.

I have stated this before. Christianity is not religion, it is a way one chooses to live there life. The Word of God is the only truth. No denomination or individual man or woman can give you food of the spirit like personal relationship with God. Fault man not God and remember this...I Thessalonians 3:7, "Therefore, brothers, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith." Encouraged by you, be an example. I assume you read the Bible and believe Gods breathed word. Romans 1:11-12, "For I long to visit you so that I can impart to you the faith that will help your church grow strong in the Lord. Then, too, I need your help, for I want not only to share my faith with you but to be encouraged by yours: Each of us will be a blessing to the other." Hope this helps.
God Bless.

Whenever I get fed up with what man has done in the name of God, I tend to simply avoid the politics and spend more time in prayer or worship, perhaps I go out and find someway to donate my time and energy to a charity, etc - It's really easy this time of year, too!

You're gonna have passionate people. You're gonna have proud people. Can we walk away from those people and learn to let God work in their hearts if He wants to? That's up to you. If we think we can save someone or change their mind, we're proud and don't understand God. If we speak what we believe by what scripture says (it MUST be the authority), then you've done what you can. The rest is up to God. We are not the judge. You are responsible for your relationship with Christ, no one else. Spend your time building your relationship with Christ. :)

Jesus declared He is The Way, The Truth, And The Light.
He did not say that He declared His Way to be called Christianity now and forever amen. Guess who slapped that name onto it.

You ought to love Jesus.
With regard to church leaders and church goers, you'll realize that some are not saved (they profess to be christians but they don't know him, they are not his sheep), others are babes in christ, and a few ones are mature christians.
The problem is that most churches have gone astray. False teachers are in charge. They have misled the flock. This isn't the first time it happened in history. Look at the old testament prophets. Look at the middle ages when the catholic church perverted the gospel by selling indulgences prior to Luther's Reformation. The problems through history and today are the same, man has gone his own ways. Evangelical churches today are plagued, literally plagued by new age philosophies that focus on self improvement and how to achieve your potential. But God says that self improvement is from Satan, we ought to kill our carnal self nature through the spirit and not improve it, the old man has to die and we ought to let God do his work on us, we ought not to be part of the world or love anything that is of the world. Unfortunately evangelical christians today are focusing on loving the world, purpose-driven churches are flourishing so that man can attain his potential and enjoy the world. Christ's message was pick up the cross and deny yourself, forsake everything that is of this world and set your sights on things from heaven and not of this world that will pass, unfortunately this message is not preached in the modern apostate church. The false teachers are leading the flock to perdition. The new age movement has taken over the church, pretty much every christian book is a self improvement book, that puts man in charge of improving himself, taking control of his own life instead of giving control to God.

My brother I know what you are going through. But be the light in the dark and the good in the evil act where others are lazy and show kindness where others show hatred. Let the Lord shine from you so brightly that all may see it and turn from their sins. And then you shall be happy on Earth and rewarded in heaven. Remember my brother the Lords knows of your troubles.

I have stated this before. Christianity is not religion, it is a way one chooses to live there life.
Christianity is indeed a religion and not a religion founded by Jesus. Jesus called followers. The religious institution we call the "Christian church" was founded by men who apparently need something more tangible than faith in an invisible Savior. So they established the church (not to be confused with "Church" the Body of Believers) complete with doctrine, dogma, rules, regulations, traditions, icons, etc., etc. and require of their "members" that they believe all that or they are not "true Christians".
Just take a look at this forum and you will see people fighting to the end about what their religious institution says is true and that we must believe everything they believe or we are doomed. Christianity has added tons of requirements for salvation to the simple truth of the Gospel. I praise God that He has opened my eyes and delivered me from all that. I can't help but think our God, who drew up a simple plan of salvation, must be grieved over what Christianity has done with it.

The media machine does not help on this either, although as a student of journalism I appreciate the authentic and ethical reporting of news, however these days there are so many avenues to get information I think the quality of information has decreased. When Christians are labeled as right wing republican war mongering thieves and the unchurched are considered progressive thinking who cradle diversity (except for those who are diverse from them).
Do a good deed and change it from with in my brother.

It is one thing to use the label christian (small c on purpose) and another to actually be a Christian. I used to wonder why the Lord said to those who said (paraphrase is mine, I hope no one is offended) "Lord, didn't we do this and that in Your name" and He replied, "Go away, I never knew you". Knowing is a very intimate thing, it is not a simple acquaintance, but an intimate knowing. One cannot know Him while playing around in the world, pretending to serve Him. He told the pharisees that they were tombstones all pretty on the outside but filled with the decay of death within.
As the bride, we must be careful to cling more closely to Him, to follow and serve Him earnestly and honestly. An to make sure that we are like the church of Smryna (Rev.)
In these difficult times we must remember to pray intensely for the lost and to minister to them as well are lead by the Holy Spirit. We have not "arrived" on our own, but through the graciousness of a Saviour who has saved us by His own blood. Without Him we would be surely lost and more wicked that we can probably even imagine. The Lord has been long suffering with the world because He desires that the lost come to Him.
Let us pray that we are part of God's process of reaching out to the lost and bringing them home to God, like our Shepherd brought us to Himself.
