Please pray for my 8 yr old. His tonsils & adenoids are being removed today (to treat for sleep apnea).

I've been reading "recovery" stories online and I think we're in for a rough, painful week! :help:

Thanks so much.

...his name is Nathan.

Just went through this with my 3 year old. If you can get past first 2 hours after they wake up you will be ok. When they come out from under the ether they resemble a wolverine on crack.

Lord have mercy.

Thanks everyone!

Nathan is doing well, happily eating popsicles and ice cream. He's not experiencing as much pain as I expected. Right now he's not even on medication (he refuses medicine unless he's desperate) , but I understand he will probably be very sore by tomorrow!

Thank goodness! Mixing his anitbiotics with ice cream is the only way to get the medicine into his body. And hopefully he won't catch on that I'm giving him "hot chocolate" every 4 hrs. :holy: (that's where I've hidden the pain medicine)
