Charles Wesley Is One Of The Greatest Hymn Writers Of All Time. One Of My Favorites Is "amazing Love" And "oh For A Thousand Tongues To Sing".
Question: Was Fanny Crosby Influenced By Charles Wesley's Music. Was She Wesleyan?

It seems to me that "Blessed Assurance" would not be of the same theological vein as many of those of the Wesleys, but I am unaware of her background. Google it!

Well, your question led me to do quite a bit of reading on some very good websites today. I did not find a site that specifically addressed her past influences or her specific theology. However, she seems to have been heavily influenced by other hymn lyricists and composers of her day. This leads me to want to read a full biography.
Thanks.
